Ndungu, you really don't want to go there. Just take it that Airtel are running themselves out of business - willingly! Below is a note I sent to their customerservice@ke.airtel.com with a copy to a techie whose actual address I know. This is after I contacted this techie, who was on leave, about a problem. I had spoken to about 5 assholes on their 111 who were all unwilling to listen to my problem as I presented it, but instead wanted to pre-empt other issues which I had not brought forth. After all the frustration, I called this techie, explained to him everything and he texted me his e-mail address for me to send mail to him, which he would then escalate. Silly enough (yes!) his escalation was to forward the mail to customerservice@.. Left me wondering if he thought I couldn't send mail to that address myself. I then resorted to calling my Account Manager, who also asked me to send an e-mail and who seemed to forward the same to the 'right people', because soon after, I was called by someone. That someone promised to look into my issue with the technical team and revert. That was Thursday last week. He only reverted today! And I can tell this was a coverage/network problem at the location where I was going through this grief, with 8 lines rendered u/s. Because customerservice did not even acknowledge my e-mail, I sent them this today: "*I believe the only reason Airtel is on a downward trend is the lethargy of it's employees.* *If noone was brave enough to face a customer on such an issue, then I suppose Airtel is better selling mandazi, not what it does now. All clients will take off, and leave Airtel in a situation where they just need to close shop*. *"* Just for the kicks, I was once a Yu customer until my phone got stolen with the line. It was a custom line I had applied for/booked in advance when they were setting up shop, if you can remember they allowed people to do that. The process I was taken through in order to get the line blocked and replaced was enough for me to tell them not just to keep their line, but their 'service' too. I am happy they are so gone! Waiting for the day Airtel will finish the job of acquiring and anti-personnel munition and blowing itself on the foot! On 22 April 2014 16:25, ndungu stephen <ndungustephen@gmail.com> wrote:
