@David - Just to hijack this post abit: I have a Huawei Mi-Fi device and I want to be able to access Mpesa services from it without removing the SIM card and putting it on a phone, does your solution help in this, or is this actually possible ./Ok3ch On Wed, Jan 5, 2011 at 11:50 AM, David Mugo <raidarmax@gmail.com> wrote:

Hi everyone,
would it be a good new years wish if MPESA went online? I am freely givng this idea to any programmer out there. To spark real ecommerce in kenya, i believe MPESA should both co exist on the mobile scene and go the www.
My idea of an ideal MPESA online scenario is where by during checkout, a customer selects MPESA payment, s/he just enters the mobile phone number and PIN number and the API process the order in the background in like (30secs) and processes the payment.
The client and vendor both get SMS a few seconds later confirming transaction.
If any programmer can do this, please take it up! All the best to you.! Just make the API public for intergration into ecommerce sites
Remember just enter phone number and PIN and click process payment
If MPESA goes online it will be truly global :)
