I do think they have something to hide coz i've been through the painstaking process myself and it's frustrating that you can't verify that indeed a name is taken yourself. I also wonder why they still have the now defunct charge, which I beleive was to cover the cost of manually searching through the register. I stand to be corrected though... Maybe you are using a name thats very common and is been used by someone else Come up with a unique name and it will go through
