Now postal mails can be received centrally and stored securely in digital format.
You can opt for receiving all your important mail, such as bills, statements, insurance documents, warranties, stock and brokerage disclosures, annual reports etc in digital format and stored in one location centrally for free.
This can save paper, printing and postage costs.. Check link below for more information.

I think Moses got into trouble when he tried to sell this as "becoming green". For bills, direct e-billing is probably more straightforward. But there are companies (such as Outbox [1]) that are attempting to put a twist on physical mail: <http://pandodaily.com/2012/05/28/the-physical-mail-revolution-comes-knocking-introducing-outbox/>. This may work for those who don't mind a third party opening their mail. Swiss Post only scan the sealed envelope, and send you an e-mail notification: <http://www.post.ch/en/post-startseite/post-swisspostbox/post-swisspostbox-anwendungsbeispiele.htm>. A bit related is Aereo, who want you (if you live in New York City) to outsource the management of your TV antenna (plus a bit more) to them.
