This is where regulation comes in. The CBK has regulations that demand that all Banks have a solid BCP. It is expected that such kind of plan would include backups that can be recoverable and that go back in time for several years. So here its just a matter of demanding for the backed up data and suing the senior management or Directors if that data is not available.
