Would anyone know whether there is any environmental concerns around wind generation?I know that in some countries the visual distraction and sound of generators can be considered visual pollution(especially if its falls in line with sunrise or sunset directly into your house, the shadows can drive you crazy) or noise polution to neighbours

@Brainiac Damn we have been dreaming the same thing I was also thinking on an Industrial park thing, mass produce build industries next to the Wind mills ... I had researched on the Kirinyaga thing (http://sgp.undp.org/download/SGP_Kenya1.pdf ) And during that time I read something to that effect as I said I tWWhink reselling is tricky you might need Licensing as you can see the Krinyaga guys have the community approach which I think would have no issues with the goverment ... mumias on the other hand has been selling to KPLC if am not wrong, ...

@anthony, Ngong hills Kengen have two, by 2012 there'll be 365 units in turkana,

@watson, is that the case? what then about mumias that has been generating more than that since time immemorial. If thats the case id really like to know how that can be repealed. Guys should generate if they can, One of the ideas ive been incubating is creation of industrial parks around the area of generation, so a company that owns land around the generation site generates and offers land and power as a package to manufacturers.

@joram, talk to me, I have big dreams about energy.

Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate, but that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us.There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.As we let our own light shine, we consciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
