Not true.

You can run the IOS 4 on a 3GS and even a 3G although for the latter you may have some performance problems.

That is what am replying to. 3Gs and Iphone 4 are both Iphone hardware and Software are in 2,3 and 4 series so Iphone 4 cannot be run on Iphone 3Gs since they are both names of the physical phone. Maybe you meant iOS 3 running on Iphone 4
