The cost of going
to the moon is prohibitive. its one of the issues on debate whether american tax
payers will be able to pay for and/or will be required to pay for another
moon trip. Because think about it. why should USA spend billions of dollars
on a single trip to go to the moon?
To do what?
Collect moon rocks?
It doesnt make
sense to keep going to the moon to collect the same rock samples. there is
nothing new on the moon to justify repeated trips. Thats what sampling is all
about. pick samples from different areas and analyse them. Most of the rocks on
the moon are simply the same ones you get here on earth with a few exceptions.
So it doesnt make good Financial sense to have continued moon missions.
Even Space shuttle
missions are basically maintenanace missions of existing satelites, the space
station and stuff like the hubble telescope & whatever else is up there. Now
about solar radiation, the same radiation thats on the moon is the same
radiation they are exposed to when doing space walks. As i write this the space
shuttle endeavor is in space and they are putting up an external platform so
they are gonna do quite a number of space walks. Dont think since it was
the 60s they were not brilliant. That error had brilliant minds. These guys
were turned into geniuses by the NAZIs and like i mentioned before
Radiotion has been arounf for a loooooong time... Ask the japanese of
Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Scientists of the early days did th same
computations we do today. Math is Math. Those people coded in machine language.
Show me a programmer today who codes using machine language... and am not
talking about Assembly Language.
So like i said you
need to stop trying to prove that these guys didnt do all the stuff they did
because it seems you really dont know much about the road map of the space
program. A moon visit stopped being financially viable since the 70's The only
interest in the moon would now be to either build a space station there (which
wont happen soon) or to do space tourism. So unfortunately the answer to your
moon visit dilema simply boils down to lack of Money. Remeber Nasa is tax payer
funded.
All in all NASA
has some serious Kick butt minds working for them you just need to take a trip
down to the Kennedy Space Center in Florida and see the stuff they will let you
handle.
But Nasa was not
selling us beliefs - they were trying to sell 'scientific facts' to the human
race....
A question - seeing as the moon
has no atmosphere - can a human being on first attempt in the 60s be able to
survive the lately detected solar radiation ? [no chimps sent prior, mind
you]
What guarantee do we have that one
wont be instantly microwaved and cooked in those fancy silver suits ?
I like NASA, they have provided
all these medical and technological break throughs - But how come they are not
attempting a moon landing nowadays ?
Its a valid
question when you think about it...
