I have just traced back viva.co.ke to a certain Stephen Alala...

Stephen....if you are on this list....please do something about your
website...the shoddy work makes your venture look shady!

At least it is better if I get conned from a better looking site than
get conned from a shoddy looking site;-)

I can picture the conversation at the police station when I am
reporting the case:

Me: I have just been conned

Policeman: How?

Me: I paid Sh. 5K to viva.co.ke and I have not earned my Sh. 100K

Policeman: Hiyo viva ni ya Coca Cola?

Me: Hapana, it is a website

Policeman: Web ni kama ile ya spider?

Me: Hapana, web ni ya internet?

Police: Ooooh, like that one of ours which was chopped up?

Me: I think you mean hacked...

Policeman: Sasa hii viva has been hacked?

Me: No, they conned me...

Policeman: How did you know about them.

Me: I saw them on the internet...let me show you on my iPad

Policeman: Madam, na hiyo simu yaho ni kubwa, hehehe, kwani ni ile
booth ya kitambo

Me: Hii ni iPad, this is the latest technology...let me open for you
the viva.co.ke website

Policeman: Sawa, endelea

Me: There take a look, they have said "Easily earn over Kshs 100,000
per month...."

Policeman: Wewe Madam, hata mimi sijui hii mambo ya chopped na hacked,
lakini hii spider hatawewe ukiangalia, does it look like a genuine
business, ehhh?

This gal (or woman? There are no ladies and gentlemen in IT!!) has just made my day. At 2am and stressed and happy somewhere, this is just the right antidote for my situation.
