FE is I'm betting way more bandwidth than you need to your everyday desktop and small datacenter. the 1Gig uplink is important. The 2811 is also quite a power house so I'd start elsewhere if you're 'feeling' some sort of sluggish network speeds. Users sometimes get used to seeing 'connected at 1Gbps' ; 100Mbps has some sort of reverse placebo effect:-)....anyway let us know if you need help with something specific. This is precisely the kind of information I was looking for. i think I will just have to settle for 16 F/E Switch with one GE port.
I think I am just getting older but I am starting to find F/E getting slower.
