So definately the mongrel has taken over the ports used by xampp (80 and 443). You made a mistake of NOT reading the manual on running these two together.
i changes the apache port to 43 so that ruby can run on port 80.
Please don't do this. Just let Apache to retain ports 443 and 80 and reconfigure mongrel to use port 8000, for instance.
i can access phpmyadmin and the phpsites and view the data in the site app but i cannot write on the database ie add data.
I wish I understood that line.
how can i solve this issue?
