@Collins, While the phone may have CDMA chip, I guess it can not be activated on most carriers as they restrict this to their own specific RUIM. With CDMA, the subscriber information is contained in the phone itself, so it will be add to use the iPhone on any other CDMA network. I am sure they it can work if the network allowed the phone with to pair with the network, but most carriers will not do it. So, the CDMA part of your Orange iPhone 4S is almost useless, unless the CDMA network allows it to work. So normally the official CDMA carriers will have the identity modules directly build-in to their iPhone order by Apple.
