/*Thread Hijack..... @DJ Claire, nice... :-)) . This thread I posted "If this is 2030, what would be the East African Information Age Icon of Engineering or Design that we will have created?", while searching for a tagline, I came up with this things I cannot type here... your kind of creativity is very welcome. :-) Also BTW and if it interests you, its more of a coincidence than anything else as far as I know, the policy discussion list is having a very similar discussion to the thead I posted. Their discussion thread is "Standing on the shoulders of giants" and am happy that they have finally opened up to asking questions on real issues. There is hope for KE afterall if they or others on that list follow through on the discussions and set a process in motion that could be a beginning. Though am not a contributor anymore, a big thanks to Edith Adera, Dorcas Muthoni, PS Ndemo and Yawe........ Some of us outlived the nerds habitats many years ago( unfortunately still have to make a living, pay bills etc ), temporarily stuck on skunkworks hoping one day it will become a National Tech Resource for who are/have been in technology and also neither take inspiration from things like eg creators of facebook , however respect that they are great achievements. Not sure if you followed what happened to the micro-processor age, but this is a read : http://www.intel.com/technology/mooreslaw/ . Rgds.
