Saturdays are not good. Weddings, wives, husbands, children and what not :).

On the meetings, I may have to agree, it's a general trend, observed by a couple of other people :).

Wanted to come on Tuesday, but was held up somewhere. My apologies. Wanted to hear about open web standards and work practices at Yahoo - Europe. Was any such stuff discussed?

Saturdays are not good but are better than most other days. Why not experiment on Saturday times 11am to 2pm or 1.30pm to 4pm?

Some people are doing tech clubs. A tech club does not have to be and should not be an unfocused crowd. Even 3 or 4 focused people (with similar tech interests) are enough - to get together for 3 -12 months - to produce something. Then they can be referred / placed at corporates / enterprises that need their skills or product. This way, we also motivate you techies to attend and up your (soft and hard) skills.

On that note, will soon need 2 or 3 interested students / interns to learn ASP.Net MVC through http://orchard.codeplex.com/wikipage?title=team&referringTitle=Home

This particular Kenyan 'ASP.Net MVC Club' will learn a lot about commenting source code, code reviews, collaborating etc etc by working (on site and remotely) on a site that will market African (software, infrastructural and socio-economic) developments.

And yes, you will be referred to individuals, enterprises or institutions who need your skills if you prove yourself to be organized, creative and honest.
