Just wondering aloud: If it&#39;s possible to undertake oil fingerprinting to know its source, can a similar technique be performed on other minerals to know where they come from? Since they do it by measuring carbon isotope levels it may be tricky for minerals apart from oil and diamonds...any chemistry gurus here?<br>
