@Michuki, I am supporting you on this.
Based on the complications that arise when our data is hosted outside our country it would be better if we find means and ways to host it ourselves, let us not look for shortcuts.

Their are several approaches to this

Some of the benefits that will come with it in the long run are

Today you might enjoy amazon and the rest but in the long run as a country we need to redefine ourselves and with the coming of the cloud; it would be better we get our own or take a piece of this business for our own economy and growth. Its all about looking into the future.

Try by asking on this list there are a number of people who host locally
that can assist you. But they are not Safaricom or anyone as big and known.

They could build their own. By the way the infrastructure to host
opengovt in todays setup is hardly to 2 x 42U cabinet racks fully
redundant. What we dont have is the skillset to maintain it.

But hey because you cant drive do you use a taxi for the rest of your life?
