@Dennis, I think NGOs tend to work within certain budgets, so they possibly have zonal impact rather than national. Maybe things like Kenya Medical Board, The Major hospitals, Medical Professional bodies etc. This would fit long term with a mobile app and platform. I tried to get the email address of the author of the article, but a js error pops up. I think he/she needs to do a follow up article on the available technology options that are already there to help further the cause of such awareness. Not that, the one at http://www.google.com/apps/ has a fully fledged calendar with SMS/Email alert to any network in the world. All is needed is to integrate with the NGO's day to day applications with a few scripts.
