@Alex, on July 23rd , on the launch of Seacom, the entire telco sector shouted back to kenyans and said : We will dictate what happens and when it happens. But we are the ones who keep them in business. I'm not at all surprised about the article. It became evident a few days later that much more was going on behind the scenes. I read safcom letter printed in local dailies and saw one line that made all the sense of where teams was heading. I find this quote ( from BD article today ) quite interesting :
 
“There is no onward connectivity between Europe and Dubai, where TEAMS ends. ” he said.
 
And it is true that rates should have dropped by at least 50-90% on seacom ( pls read my contribute on contention ratios ) . Teams has created a bigger problem...........unless Govt willing to sell capacity bandwidth to smaller ISPs who will take the pricing battle further.
