@Odhiambo,<div><br></div><div>I have a device that uses the GSM network to send out emails to assigned users.  The software is such that you simply enter the smtp server, username and password and indicate 2 recipient email addresses.</div>
<div><br></div><div>The firmware assumption is that the smtp server is using port 25.  That is why I cannot use <a href="http://smtp.gmail.com">smtp.gmail.com</a>.  Google help online shows that one can use <a href="http://aspmx.l.google.com">aspmx.l.google.com</a>.  If you set this up on outlook, it works.  Put the same configuration on the device and nothing is sent.</div>
<div><br></div><div>I dropped the email host @Alex from google so that I can use the <a href="http://mail.domain.com">mail.domain.com</a> because it is set by default to port 25 and this works.</div><div><br></div><div>Thank you.</div>

@Odhiambo, I wish I could do that. Although, this works well on printers if we input the SPF within the domain.  Anyway, this is a  government project and they have already invested heavily on the equipment.<br><br></blockquote>


</div><div><br>Looking at this response keenly again, I am not sure I understood your problem in the first place. Where does SPF come from now?<br>Is this Sender Policy Framework or some other acronym with a different meaning?<br>


If you are hosting with Google, and paying for it (which I think holds true), then for sure Google engineers should help you. You represent the govt, no?:-)<br><br>If you explain your problem well, I can figure out something. This far I need a detailed rephrase of the whole issue.<br>
