Former recovering addict of the SBC computer room here. Turbo Pascal was just the thing, though I used to copy paste most of the code samples from Help. Was very proud of myself when I did a TSR (Terminate and Stay Resident) thing for myself. Nothing to boast about though, all you had to do was copy paste the code from help and modify it kidogo.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure the survey is yet to reach all former addicts of that small computer room where we were introduced to cd.. and cd\. The days when we would by a floppy disk for 120 KShs, and they would last for years without these bad sectors of siku hizi.
