Interesting. Actually its true that bigdata is catching up. My startup is already using this check out www.proolabs.com I am also consulting for a few clients in KE.

Would be good to know other guys doing the same and share knowledge.

I don't know anyone using hadoop and the likes actively in KE at the moment. However, people are starting to understand and appreciate what bigdata and analytics means. Telcos and banks will start/already have started plans to fully implement this. Safcom created an analytics function last year. Coop bank interviews ongoing for the heads to implement the same...
