Try rmmod-ing saa7134 _alsa too, or any other dependent module until rmmod saa7134 succeeds silently. Only then can you say you've reloaded the driver with the correct options. Also fungua alsa-mixer and raise the line and 3d volume just to b sure.. all the best!
