Google has the Chrome browser for an application, the NaCl for a framework, the GO language for coding/scripting, the SPDY for a protocol and their was talk of Google laying Trans-continental Massive fiber backbone (This was inspired by ISPs who delivered expensive slow bandwidth and went on to filter it for torrents and sniff it for illegal file sharing).
