Odhi, These degree certs are not useless, unless they themselves are *useless* & they need to be employed to make use of them. They can start plying their craft. If they are serious, they will go very far. Customers will not demand to see their certs for them to buy their services. They will just remand a good referral. So they can only let themselves down. As an aside. The local education system is not meant to empower. It is more to enslave. And a gross waste of time. How many of us are making a living out of what we spent over 20 years learning. Remember the hassles of coming up with desks, knitting for Art,Craft & Music. A local university graduate is worse prepared for life than a std 8 graduate who goes directly to the informal sector. For those my age, they can reflect on the "Mashetani" course book. Why was Binadamu falling from the tree, when he tried to jump on it like the "Shetani". Like my friend here below who was a Sanitation Engineer.
Muchemi,
You miss the point here.
The issue is what happens to the folk who already completed these rejected degrees? Is their degree cert now a useless piece of paper or is it still valid? That's the one issue. Second issue is why this was allowed to happen in the first place. I think it's the greed for money. The people responsible must be made to own up to this scam!!
