Until 2 days ago I was not aware that this platform from microsoft
called SilverLight has advanced to a level where desktop and web
applications will have a convergence point in the near future. I think
all the talk about Web 3, hardware integration, RIA and RCA etc seems
to be here already.

Am I outdated on thinking that the above is really the future?  On the
platforms you program with, does it have such capabilities?

Am considering, at a later date, to moving my game dev enviroment to
the web. The games will be for social development etc. For me
personally the change in direction came 2 days ago when I stumbled
upon some serious websites that carried indie games. Which then took
me to SilverLight.

And I read that Symbian 3 will have some SilverLight components too.

Rgds.
