now with the fibre arriving from kenya, they should be miles ahead of us by the time our own fiber dust and politics settles...

I will not be surpised if Rwanda is covered with faster internet services before Kenya - despite the fact that the cable comes from Kenya, goes thru Uganda - and finally into Rwanda.

Current office speeds in Kenya [after fibre] = 0.78 mbps  [takes 150 min to download 800mb movie -but speeds are not true, could go as low as 4 kbps]

Wireless [wi-fi] links in Lesotho a small country = 27 mbps [takes 20 min to download 800mb movie - speed goes as low as 12 mbps]
