ESC when the Fan Error message appears. Temporary fix but you need to get a more permanent fix

Morning guys, In a brilliant start to a Monday morning, I got a dreaded "Fan Error" message when I booted up my laptop this morning (it's a Lenovo ThinkPad E420). Has anyone encountered this before and if so what's the best way to fix it. In addition, is there a reputable repair shop you could recommend? Thanks,
