One of the main reasons to verify an ID is for house helps, especially when you get them from an agency. It used to be available for free here http://www.identity.go.ke/ but the site seems to be down. Anyone know the admins?Regards,John K.On 12 October 2015 at 13:58, MotoBaridi via skunkworks <skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke> wrote:sadly, this does indeed make sense to a good number of people, and therein lies the problem...well, assume i had a fine motor vehicle of italian origin and you were interested in taking ownership of the vehicle in exchange for several million rubles (kenyan equivalent of course).the theory here is that i'd show you my ID, you'd rush to HTTP://verifyid.CO.ke and "verify" that the ID is indeed mine. seeing as the DB is "privately" hosted
1: ShadyGuy gets access to VerifyID DB, inserts FakeID details.2: ShadyGuy conduct some transaction, someone uses the service to "verify". ShadyGuy is cleared, $$ changes hands.3: ShadyGuy deletes FakeID details from DB.

Under what circumstances have you ha to verify someone's ID not unless it is online shopping?
If it's not an official govt site, I'd rather refrain.
Then, the Antiviruses also raising cautionary messages is just another thing one can look into.Perhaps, when you key in an entry, it retains the data for "future exploits".
Sorry for sounding like a CSI script.
