There is also the open source e commerce app OScommerce which we can
built upon in case we decide to do our own.

OScommerce should be a shopping cart application if I'm not wrong and will work with available payment gateways like the one being discussed here. There are numerous available to achieve this and carts are not a main bother now.I stand to be corrected though.

All in all a locally developed Online Payment App. is the way to go provided all international standards are adhered to. If not where will Africa and specifically Kenya feature in all the global innovation and creativity. We claim to have the minds to match the West and the East but we always run back to them to perform simple tasks in our own community. Who can explain why our roads are still constructed by the Chinese. Juzi I saw a Chinese guy screw and setup some traffic light along Uhuru Ave. - Mombasa Road. What are the Kenyan institutions and Enterprises supposed to be training and delivering ???

Who knows, with a  good payment app. it might be big enough for OSCommerce to prebuild its core in their future releases.Let all who can contribute to the life of this Payment Solution put their best effort and openness for this is an application that will change Trade and Info Tech in Kenya and all over.

Really keen on how this goes.Let it not be just another big ambitious discussion that dies within the list!!!
