While I do understand all the excitement about equitel, at this point all I want is a safaricom thin sim to keep using the all but ubiquitous mpesa while enjoying lower data rates from other providers.

This means (in theory) the ThinSIM can do anything. So the onus is left on the vendor to ensure that malicious use of this capability doesn't manifest itself. But then again, I think I just saw a flying pig....

Don't think Thin SIM has been distributed, unless to a few staff. Likely to appear at launch.
