If you are an ICT person, you know this very well. That such education does not come cheap. Even if you are downloading free Video Trainings, you will still pay for certification fee. You also incur costs over the time duration such as e-books, internet costs etc. And obviously there has to be a commitment to time and personal sacrifices. Recently I had a discussion about this with some who is in business. It turns out that if you calculate your costs over time spent on such studies, you could have easily invested those amounts in stocks etc. The business person looks at it as time that they were turning into profitability. At the end of a 2 year cycle, your financial input has not risen compared to inflation versus the amounts spent on education while the business has turned a profit to compensate for such. Its a vast subject but have simplified it. In a nutshell, will you throw away your skills or be compensated ? You make the professional choice. -- Rgds, "Skunkworks-KE is a social platform for technologists.
