But seriously, I know this idea has been discussed before and many people felt that the group functions better shrouded in informality. But I feel we need some sort of formalization, as it is easier to advocate/push for matter concerning ICT and ourselves as ICT practitioners easily if we were formed in to an officially legally recognized body or society.
I heard before of an body known as the ICT Association of Kenya, but I have my doubts as to whose interests that body really represents. To me Skunkworks has, and still is the body (informal as it may be) that I feel represents those int he technical ICT sector.
Oliver, probably you should run with this. If you need help members can contribute ideas.
