If I invite Aki, I am afraid I will have thousands of pages explaining the theory behind the chips, the sourcing of elements, patents that may be breached and other technical documentation, without a device :-) Don't see any product on the Mustek page, plus I am afraid it may be from the same factory and of the same quality as the Intex device I have. Why do people buy the breadbaords and trhe soldering bits, and the chips? On 20 December 2011 16:54, Odhiambo Washington <odhiambo@gmail.com> wrote:
For starters, invite @Aki into it. You may have killed two birds with one stone:
1. DIY with flying colors 2. Getting to meet the faceless guy finally.
Go to www.mustek.co.ke and buy one of the TV boxes that they sell and do your thing with it.

I would still like to look into the cost and challenge of a DIY device
