In addition to your observation, almost everything in Nairobi is more expensive than in comparative cities. Wasn't there a study last year that ranked Nairobi as one of the most expensive cities to live in the world? Right up there with Geneva etc?

I suspect the figure may be a bit skewed because of the inflated positioning of junk food in kenya.
