I think that every business i unique and as far as web design goes it is alot better to have something designed with your business in mind. I tried the templating way but resorted to designing my own css rather than just slapping on some design i find online. Not that i don't find the design work up to scratch but i just usually don't seem to find something that makes me feel that its the best. i think its like the way home cooked food(for those who can cook) taste better and is healthier (IMO) than fast food. wahenga walisema - "cheap is expensive" I think theres nothing wrong with claire asking for web design services. Let the vendors, designers or whoever make their case then their work can speak for itself. I refer here to those who actually can design rather than those who have superior skills in finding templates - remember the kisstv website thread. My 2 cents. wewe Aki stay out of this! Some of us make money from such freelance jobs and what is so wrong with Claire providing income for small-time hustlers? (e.g. me)
Your info is appreciated but don't spoil business for this hustler!
Sheero, I second you! Aki, eh, you want to be skinned alive?

Hi,
I am looking for a web designer to design a website for my small catering business.
It is going to be a simple site with a few pages like: About Us, services, contact form and also a form where potential clients can send requests for my catering services.
Hello Claire,
do you know how to use the internet? please search using keyword : TEMPLATES . This will take you to sites that have excellent templates for use. Why pay for something that is freely available? You can save on tons of money, which you can re-invest into your business. Once you know what template you need, use a simple tool to edit them and tell your hosting provider to publish them.
*And thats the money saving tip for the day. :-)*
Hope this Helps.. ( HTHs )
*Since I'm sure your hosting service is offering php, then have a look at these ( one of a few hundered of sites to look out for templates ). Save on time, money. For an average of 55-125USD, you can pickup an excellent commercial template and be operational within 1 day. * ** http://www.templatemonster.com/ is a good place to start.
*another money saving tip of the day! :-)*
