I am quite disappointed in the approach Equity has been using to launch, market and push their Equitel Agenda. I also got a SIM card soon after they came out but I struggled to fit it into my life. I dont send or recieve that much money or in a frequency that would necessitate a move from M-Pesa.

Their call rates and data rates are very pedestrian. The branding and promotion is lacklustre and quite frankly I don't think they believe their hype.

That being said they are sitting on a radioactive goldmine. It could make them richer than they think or crash and burn like a phoenix. It all depends on execution. Something that has left me baffled for a while.

They are the Underdogs but act like they have been doing this for ages. I shudder.

The convenience with it is unimaginable. The disruption of money transfer in KE, EA, Africa and world-wide is evident.
The talk so far about it is securing the technology. Consider Kenyans and 'Peculiar habits'. PICNIC(T) mistakes are bound to be around for a while, even among the tech-savvy. I would also be really worried about challenges brought in by users and insider threats.
