I beg to differ with Amarjit on virtualbox being a better host. We have been running a virtualization project for the last two years, and virtualbox failed spectacularly on Solaris: we lost money buying a legit version of vmware (but went baremetal on ESX4). Wash, Is the VM workstation where you are transferring the win2k8 running on x64? Coz Vmware Workstation running on 32bit O/S will not accept a guest running 64bit. sam.
