For those who din't get the story, A school in Kilgoris has gotten support from a US organization and gotten Amazon Kindles which carries all their text books including local curriculum like Kiswahili Mufti etc

The kindles can hold up to 3000 books and are charged once a month using a generator. It's actually not hard to imagine that all text books in each class can fit in a kindle saving cost and improving technology awareness.

The one thing I really loved about it is that since the kindle is back-light the children don't have to light a lamp to read #win.
