:) you have an iPad so I think you don't need it, unless you want the great battery life and the e-ink read-in-the-sun  

I also have the PC Kindle app, android kindle app as well, but much easier reading off the Kindle.

As you said, one shouldn't compare iPad to Kindle as they (at least before yesterday) target different segments. Let's wait to see how this Kindle Moto plays out
