please find attached, top is ikenya, bottom is kenic, and right is google. I cant seem to be able to mtr to kra.go.ke
So again, what do these results mean?
It means that you are going through KDN to all networks. Traffic to Ikenya comes to Nairobi (switched at KIXP) and sent down via Safaricom's Business network to Mombasa The same happens for KENIC. It looks like there's a problem reaching KRA via KDN/KIXP so thats going via London :( What does this mean to you if you are an ISP. It means that you are paying International costs for both local and International packets. Thats often not a good business model for sustainability. IXPs lets you connect at peering costs for local packets and you can continue to pay for your International traffic via your upstream provider in this case KDN. I have to say your packet loss is just too high. Regards, Michuki.
