I'm a big fan of the inexpensive Acer Aspire One netbooks ($300 or 24,000/=). They've got enough power to do a decent amount of work, they're super small and for approximately 1500/= you can upgrade the RAM. 120gb of hard drive space is nice too. I don't ever use it, but it also has a camera embedded. Lastly, there's a slot behind the battery for a SIM card, however in the version I have there is no modem, so you have to hack that into the space provided by yourself.
