Thanks! Talking of operators who "care about their users", Safaricom has given a firmware update only once for their E160/E220 <http://www.safaricom.co.ke/index.php?id=246>. I've been hoping they could push Huawei to get them a firmware update for the E960, at least so that it can have an SMS interface like the B220.
