Happy New Year y'all.

While prepping for an interview with Google I briefly fantasized myself as the torturer (interviewer), not the tortured (interviewee). So I came up with this ridiculous puzzle, any takers?

- How many steps would an ant require to walk to the moon (assuming a string attached from earth to the moon)?

Near Mama Watoto supermarket in Kakamega's CDB there is a line of "beverage outlets" named Sun, Earth, Stars and Moon all next to each other.
In this case the ant:
a) would not need a string
b) should be able to complete the journey in under 10 mins
c) a + b assume that the ant did not partake in any of the beverages on offer. If it did then all bets are off and the poor creature would probably end up somewhere in Mumias rather than next door.

However if you mean the moon moon why doesn't the ant just crawl into a space shuttle and hitch a ride? Therefore the distance from the ground into the hatch that leads to the living quarters of the shuttle is the only distance it has to cover!
