Essentially it means, depending on its effectiveness, they put Kaspersky, Avast, Mcafee who all sell their policy orchestrator to consumers, out of business?

It is reliable in the sense that you can get its updates regularly if you have a WSUS server for updating your microsoft clients. My experience is that there is no better anti-virus just manage what you have well.
