Not bad at all... But we are still not thinking that way i.e constructing energy efficient houses/buildings etc etc. Such that they produce their own elec and sell excess to the national grid. 
france has gone far enough to design trains that generate elec when they brake contributing to the national grid. Countries like ireland are experimenting with tidal enegy and so on.
Anyway i think that its a developmental process and we will get there somewhere along the line.
