
I second that. I also realized that external hard disks have a disastrous trait. When they go dead, you lose everything that you saved over the years. And the larger, the worse you will feel. Something as simple as a usb port break can lock you out of your precious data...wish there were backdoors, secondary usbs etc...but well.

Don't bother save up for a new one. Laptops are like Lexus, once someone opens and tinkers it'll never go back to usual performance.
