Way forward....
1. A dedicated team of editors / bloggers each with a niche in i.e security, design, programming 2. The dedicated editors need to have good access to the internet and must post at least once a day 3. Both the language used and context must be relevant and based on rules specified by the chief editor (must be there to ensure consistency and set guidelines the must be conformed to) 4. A good example is techcrunch...the variations in topics, frequency and relevance of the post are likely to ensure that most people prefer it as an authority on issues of technology in Kenya. 5. Again borrowing from techcrunch...the site reviews every upcoming tech startups in Europe and the US as well as existing tech companies on a daily basis. If facebook or twitter is down they are usually the first to know. I believe we can learn a lot on how they operate.
Theres a lot that the blog can do in terms of monetization but thats another post.
