Due to the numerous cases being reported, its a good time to create an app that collects data of geographical location of robbery or attempted robbery, matatu pickup stage location, route and license plate number.. this could over a period of time generate data that assist with arrests and offer case study information There's alot of information is going round on Social media about these thugs, there’s alot of awareness. The police can improve their self-defence, information gathering and thwarting techniques by getting involved on a few arrests
Never fail to show up with your phone or laptop because of fear of a potential threat of robbery, the day you do, is the day you let these well fed hoodlums triumph... then while we pass the blame around, we should also think of what we can do to make a change, an app or affordable cctv solution in buses would be a start.

This guys are normally in Citi hoppa buses. They work very closely with the conductors. Double m and KBS buses know them and are very wary on let them board their buses.
According to my research this are the guys who do carjackings and other violent crimes at night but are pick pockets during the day.
Take note of their MO (mode of operation) below: 1. They are in a group of 4 or 5. 2. They are all middle aged men with bloodshot eyes. 3. They are usually dressed in casual clothes,( jeans, t-shirt, casuals shirts and sweat shirts) 4. They stake out a victim who is not wary of his/her surroundings, especially people on a call, or deep in conversation with a seatmate or just absent minded. 5. They fein having dropped a coin or keys.
In all they conduct a surgical operation and have strength in numbers to back each other up in case of a confrontation.
