I did this successfully http://androiddeployments.blogspot.co.ke/2015/03/tecno-r7-kitkat-rom.html and got a complete samsung feel including boot screen and kitkat. It had a few minor bugs though.

I then installed this http://www.androidvillaz.com/2015/02/xperia-custom-rom-for-tecno-f7.html?m=1 , got a Sony look and Jellybeans

I finally Installed CynogenMod 11-  http://www.androidvillaz.com/2014/11/cm-11-c-tecno-r7.html which is based on 4.2.2 but appears as 4.4.2. This one looks quite simple, stable and faster than the original R7 4.2.2.
