@phares;
The team at Microsoft clarified that Windows 8 is a new re-engineered product, not a new skin on Windows 7. I understand Mac users will rejoice when usage of Mac's improves to maybe 40%, which is appearing in my horizon, by the way. As many people know about iOS, they become comfortable using a Mac. Many people I know are already inquiring or buying Mac's (esp the Macbook range).
The tech world today is in a great transition, I don't know to where. I can only wait. Some of us have to reinvent daily to keep abreast. Seems at some point, no one will notice the difference between a Mac, Windows and Linux. Thats how Microsoft will loose. But the company has a number of products most of us have never heard of, or will never hear of unless you deploy an array of systems periodically in diverse industries. Apple's ecosystem is still limited, but with the incoming $$$$$, they may just do something to shake the market. Yet Microsoft is going nowhere - even if a large fire engulfs Redmond.
